Project SoW
The making of the vehicle first started with ideating the spaceframe chassis of the car which acts as the structure or the skeleton, we then created a wooden prototype of the car. However, we realised that the structure and the car's design would not work because of the hardware we were planning to use for the steering aspect of the car. We then found spare parts for a vehicle with a go-cart-esque silhouette. After receiving the parts, we started working on the chassis and the steering. When we finished welding the metal rods, we assembled the rear-view assembly off the scar and attached the wheels. The next step was to figure out the wiring and battery connections. Our last objective is to turn the car into the portable library we have envisioned it to be.
Test Drive
In our latest video, we have collected all the highlights of our first ever proper test drive. Both our core team and the supporters of our journey tried driving the first working version of our car. During this test drive, we had not yet installed the library of our car, this was just a working prototype to see how the car functions and moves. We also got some experience in driving. It was also exciting to see the result of all our hard work in the past few months.
